Ameritus LLC, provides property management as well as development services to 211 W. Wacker. Bert Scherb, a principal of Ameritus, was one of the developers who bought and redeveloped the 211 building in 1983-84. As such he is familiar with the systems and operation of 211 W. Wacker and he was part of the team that managed it until the building was sold to investors in 1989. Bert and Jeb Scherb acquired the property again in September of 2004 and additional improvements have been made. They include new roof, boilers, life safety systems and additional renovations. With a solid background in tenant representation dating back to the mid-1970s, Bert Scherb has managed more than 2,000 transactions. Having formed Midwest Realty Exchange, a full service Chicago-based realty operation, he subsequently sold his interest to Grubb & Ellis (an NYSE-listed company), and served as that firm's President for the Midwest Region and as a member of its Board of Directors.
He was responsible for Tenant Representation services at Frain Camins & Swartchild, a commercial brokerage firm. He is also the founder of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association and served as its first President. Mr. Scherb has successfully developed over 1,000,000 square feet of office and industrial properties and is uniquely positioned to assist with the most basic or the most highly specialized needs.

Jeb Scherb has more than 12 years of experience with office and industrial real estate brokerage and development and has emerged as a leader in the Chicago regional market. Representing leasing and sales of office and industrial properties, tenants and landlords, Jeb has negotiated over $235,000,000 in transactions since 1995. As a co-founder of the Young Office Brokers Association (YOBA), Jeb has shown his early commitment to professionalism, further education and camaraderie of the Brokerage Community. Jeb has recently emerged as a specialist in Office Condominium sales and development with the recent acquisition and conversion of both 211 W. Wacker Drive and 215 W. Ohio.
Jeb has earned the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and is a candidate for the SIOR designation of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He won the 1998 Frank Mahoney Award for Excellence in Brokerage, presented by the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIREB). Jeb's successful client representation history includes acquisition, development, disposition, leasing, consulting and sale-leaseback experience in all types of office and industrial property.
Jeb is currently a board member of The Chicago Parkways Foundation which is a fundraising arm of The Chicago Park District to support programming for underprivileged children in Chicago’s world renowned park system.

Seth is a Managing Director and a Corporate Advisor with the downtown Chicago office of Ameritus Corporate Real Estate. Seth specifically focuses on the development of office condos and the representation of office tenants. As a Native Chicagoan, Seth has extensive knowledge of the Chicagoland Real Estate Market. Prior to joining Ameritus, Seth spent 4 years in Tenant Representation and Corporate Services for CB Richard Ellis. At CBRE, Seth specialized in the creation and implementation of real estate strategies on behalf of tenants.
In addition to Seth’s experience in Real Estate, he served as a consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP. At Arthur Andersen, Seth focused on risk management issues and internal audit engagements of Fortune 1000 companies. Seth's experience in analyzing Clients' business processes and models of Risk Management practices has translated into consistent and successful performance at Ameritus.
